I was delighted to attend Shannon Schmidt’s book launch for her beautifully designed book “Focus on Flora, Botanical Favourites of the Cayman Islands”.
Shannon and I were both columnists for the Camana Bay Times, with Shannon continuing her garden column after I left The Times. While my column concentrated on the lighter side of raising a large family, Shannon wrote about the plants and trees to be found at Camana Bay and across our lovely Cayman Islands. The limited edition book which can be found at #Next Chapter compiles a description and photos of her favorite flora.
The Pink Ladies Volunteer Corps (PLVC) were delighted to distribute $42,500 CI to ten island charities this year. As co-director of the PLVC I had the fortunate timing of presenting a cheque for $10,000 to Jodie Foster at the NCVO when the Easter bunny made his appearance.
